Scandalized [4/5]

A fun spicy book about two old childhood friends igniting a romance. It was a fast paced read! I always enjoy this kind trope (friends turned into lovers).

This Time Next Year [4/5]

A great New Year’s themed read! Two people, who were born minutes apart at the same hospital on New Year Eve, finally meet years later. It shares the stories of their past New Year Eves/New Year Days until they meet. I liked this style of book, it felt like reading diary excerpts. I’m a fan of Sophie Cousens too if you haven’t read her other novels!

The Housemaid [5/5]

WOW. This book gave me whiplash! My jaw dropped after reading this suspenseful thriller! It was fast paced, I binge read this in one sitting. I can’t wait to read the sequel which will be releasing on February 20th!

Reminders of Him [4/5]

I read Colleen Hoover’s ‘It Starts with Us’ and ‘It Ends with Us’ last year and was a fan. I decided to pick up another book of hers. I enjoyed the story of a mother who wanted to meet her daughter after being in prison (the daughter was born in prison and given to grandparents). A beautiful story of redemption and grief.

Trespasses [5/5]

A beautifully written Irish fiction story! This was a consuming read about life during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. I was captivated by the writing. It doesn’t surprise me that this historical fiction book was recognized with a few awards!
