Hanukkah 2021

Happy Hanukkah!

We celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas in our household. The first night of Hanukkah started last night and ends on December 6th. It is earlier this year!

I thought I’d share our big Hanukkah meal. We cooked some brisket, matzo ball soup, latkes with applesauce topping, garlic herb mushrooms, brussel sprouts with cranberries, sweet potato kale salad, challah bread and rugelach for dessert.

The spread.

It was my first time to make the challah bread!

Plenty of leftovers from this dinner!

Our tablescape isn’t anything fancy, we kept it simple with a navy blue runner and Mystic Knotwork products. The Mystic Knotwork products includes rope coasters, trivet, wine cork and knot ball. The ball made a great recipe holder while cooking! I love using their products in the kitchen and dining room (ok let’s be honest, we have it all over the house)! It’s the perfect nautical touches for our coastal themed home.

The knot was perfect for holding recipes while I cooked.

Close up of the traditional Hanukkah food.

We lighted one candle for the first night but thought a full lighted menorah would be prettier for this photo!

I love cooking the Hanukkah meal with my little family. Memories in the making! Yes, it was hard working (especially the cleaning afterwards) but it is also rewarding once we finish all the cooking to have a beautiful spread. I felt proud enough that I wanted to share it with you guys!

My pup got curious!

Oooh that bread!

Wishing a Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate!

Love making memories with my family!
